We stayed at the Blue Bird House in November 2012 for a Notre Dame Football Game. The BlueBird House is well maintained and beautifully decorated both inside and out. The house was cozy but not too small. Rooms were spacious with ample storage. Each room has its own decorative theme which adds to the appeal of the house. There was no shortage of cookware, glassware, utensils, etc. We had plenty of everything. Wish I could just live there permanently! The owners are extremely nice and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and memorable. They assisted us with directions, restaurants, just anything we needed. Debbie made an awesome French toast recipe for our breakfast. I loved it so much she graciously shared the recipe with me! It was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The house and especially the owners are what made it so wonderful. I highly recommend the Blue Bird House and am looking forward to my next visit.
just to let you know you will never want to leave. from the first time you walk in you can feel the love that went in to this house to bring it back to life. we will always remember the bluebird house, cant wait to see you again thank you so much .
Warning! Debbie used a method of booking reservations that does not work. She currently owes me $124.00. I am working with my bank to retrieve this amount. Debbie writes your booking on a calender in pencil. She took my reservation for Saturday, August 1st, 2015. She used my credit card and deducted the full amount for the blue bird. Five days later I get a weird phone call from her about the date of my reservation. I told her the 1st again, but she got confused and thought it was for the July 25th. After a long day at my block party I check my messages and she called me. I call her back and she tells me that my reservation for the 1st is gone and that she has given it to someone else. Also she is not willing to refund my $. All I get from her is, "I'm sorry you feel that way". Help!
Beautiful, comfortable place to stay! Deb and Gerry were great to my in laws while staying there for a week. They felt at home!
